Issue Thirteen of the Aotearoa Anarchist Review it out. We shine a light on what is happening in Myanmar (or is it Burma?), ask why 'our' flash new P8 reconnaissance aircraft need to have anti-submarine warfare capability, look at the nuclear industry 10 years after the meltdown in Fukushima, examine the implications of introducing COVID passports and wonder how serious Stuff's apology for past racism really is. Plus we have a book review of Rat King Landlord and a recipe.   Get your copy from the shop or download one here .

We had this issue almost ready to go back in March - and then COVID happened and half our articles were obsolete. So here it is now, only slightly out of date because APEC was moved to be an online conference just after we printed it. Get your copy at the shop, contact us if you want one sent by post or download the PDF here .

aargh! Issue Eleven Is Out & online

Image
This issue of aargh! focuses on the somewhat unexpected re-emergence of large-scale protest. While on-going discontented rumbles about the crumbling environment, inequality, lack of housing, colonisation and other issues have been growing louder for some time, this year has seen people taking to the streets in greater numbers than for many years. Who would have thought! Get your copy from the shop, at Zinefest on Sunday 17 November, or get it online here .

Number 10 - the (very late) latest edition of AARGH (the Aotearoa Anarchist Review) is now available as a PDF online version here and imposed version here .  We began to produce this AARGH at the end of last year - the focus was the rise of the far right. We were waiting for a few more articles but then the attack in Christchurch happened, so over that weekend we wrote 'This is NZ', added a recipe, and then published. Please download and read.

The latest aargh! (Aotearoa Anarchist Review for Gloomy Hypocrisy) is out and available at the shop for the incredibly low price of $2! Fifty years ago, in May 1968, protest movements all over the western world erupted, so we're taking a look back as well. We're looking at what happened to the anti-globalisation movement as well as the idea of open publishing. We even go back as far as the ancient Greeks to see what we can learn from them. After three weeks of relative autonomy, the refugees on Manus Island are back in prison. Closer to home we talk about communal living.
